National Doughnut Day at Tennyson Court
Tennyson Court took the opportunity to celebrate National Doughnut day on Friday 7th June.
Although only really celebrated in the United States, National Doughnut Day is on the first Friday of June of each year. It succeeds the Doughnut event created by The Salvation Army in Chicago in 1938 to honour those of their members who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.
However, who doesn’t like a doughnut. Like many ‘holidays’ or events that are slowing making their way over the Atlantic to the UK, National Doughnut day seems to be coming more popular.
The tenants of Tennyson Court seem to agree!
